Inside Our 2026 Movie Experience Series

Last July, our community joined forces for a wonderful three-part Movie Experience Series. With the aim of inspiring, educating, and entertaining our young people, the programme turned ordinary Saturday afternoons into valuable learning experiences. Thanks to the hard work of our team, the series attracted very large numbers of attendees, especially among children aged 7 to 15.

Voices of the Future: Key Takeaways

When questioned about what they had learned, the children gave exceedingly mature observations. Some of the main lessons they picked out during the series were:

• Cultivate resilience, since losing is just part of the learning process, and you must never give up on your dreams.
• Remain humble by avoiding pride and recognising that you will not win every time.
• The more you work, the better off you will be: by practising, you can achieve your goals, and genuine confidence can be developed through hard work.
• Love has the power to break down barriers; true success cannot be achieved through enmity.
• Be someone who solves problems. Use your own talents and skills wisely to help your community.
• Keep on learning: education is a continuous journey which demands bravery and persistence.

Exciting Giveaways and a Grand Finale

To encourage participation and build excitement, daily raffle draws were held. The prizes included inspirational books by Bob Gass, footballs, solar lamps, headphones, umbrellas, etc. On Day 2 in particular, five new attendees won prizes, which in turn greatly promoted community integration. On day three, the series ended on a high note with an attendance figure of 121, a record!

To mark the conclusion, refreshments were served, and a large giveaway took place, featuring cash prizes for 10 lucky children.
